Im proud of you, Mississippi! So many caring people organizing, donating, volunteering to make sure these children are taken care of.
Tonight a youth group had planned for weeks to go to a concert. Instead they shopped for basic needs items to be distributed. Many had been in class with friends when they learned their parents were detained.
As they were checking out a young black family was behind them. The dad said,”I know what these groceries are for. Let me help.” He gave a generous donation.
One of the lawyers from out of state said she couldn’t believe how friendly, helpful, and supportive the people here are. Everybody smiles at everybody no matter what race or ethnic group.
This is the Mississippi I know. Thank you for loving your neighbor!
